Mezzy Glass Frame

Without you and the support that you give, I wouldn't be here. Never thought I'd be writing my own tutorials.

This tutorial was created on April 18, 2002 and is of my own doing. Any likeness to other tutorials is purely coincidental.

You will need:

JASC's PSP (30 day free trial)- You can get it HERE
Cybia Mezzy Filter- You can get the free version HERE

Step 1:
Open the graphic of your choice, duplicate and close original graphic.

Step 2:
Resize your image to 350 Width on Longest side. Then go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen

Step 3:
Duplicate your image and minimize for now. We're going to need this later.

Step 4:
On your first copy of the image, go to color palette and set your background color to a complimentary color from your graphic.

Step 5:
Go to Image/Add Borders, check the Symmetric box and type in 10 in the first box.

Step 6:
Select your Magic Wand with the following settings, Matchmode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Feather 0, Sample Merge Unchecked.

Step 7:
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply Inner Bevel using the Half Moon with the following settings: Width = 8, Smoothness = 0, Depth = 4, Ambience = minus 30, Shininess = 0, Color = White Angle = 315, Intensity and Elevation = 50

Step 8:
Selections/Invert, then Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and using the following settings: Vertical and Horizontal = 2, Opacity = 80, Blur = 20, apply cutout one more time except change your vertical and horizantal to a minus 2. Selections/Select None

Step 9:
Set background to white and foreground to pattern, selecting your minimized image with scale at 50% and Angle at 45.

Step 10:
Go to Image/Add Borders and add a 25 symmetrical border, select the white border with your magic wand.


Step 11:
Floodfill the white border with your image.

Step 12:
Go to Effects/Plugin Filters and Select Mezzy/Glass using the following settings: X Cut = 66, Y Cut = 70 adjust the tints to your liking.

Step 13:
Set your background to your complimentary color and add a 10 symmetric border. Select border with magic wand and apply the same inner bevel as in step 7.

Step 14:
Selections/Invert and apply the same cutout as in step 8 and don't forget to do the minus 2.

Step 15:
Resize for Group requirement postings, Sharpen/Sharpen and your done. :))
