Chisel Glass Frame

This tutorial was created on May 9, 2002 and is of my own doing. Any likeness to other tutorials is purely coincidental.

You will need:
JASC's PSP (30 day free trial)- You can get it HERE
Harry's Filters. You can get it HERE
Graphic of your choice

Step 1:
Open the graphic of your choice, duplicate by selecting the Shift plus D key and close your original graphic.

Step 2:
Resize your image to not more than 350 on the longest side. Then go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen. Duplicate the image again and minimize it, we will be using it later.

Step 3:
On your first copy of the image, go to Effects/Plug-in Filters and select Harry's Filters/Harry's Filters.

Step 4:
On the first drop-down window select "Warp", on the second drop-down window select "Tiled Glass" with the following settings:
Tile Height: 29
Tile Width: 0
Reflection: 38

**Note for different effects click on the random button till you find something you like.

Step 5:
Still on your first image, go to Selections/Select All. Now go to Selections/Modify/Contract and contract by 20 pixels. Hit your delete key once.

Step 6:
Activate your minimized image and go to Edit/Copy, then re-activate your first image and Edit/Paste/Paste Into Selection. Do Not Deselect.

Step7:
Select your foreground and choose a complimentary color from your graphic, then choose a complimentary color for your background. I used #232640 for my foreground and #7E3032 for my background.

Step 8:
Go to Selections/Float. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Chisel. Set your size to 6 and make sure "Background Color" is checked.

Step 9:
Go to Selections/Invert. Then go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the following settings:
Rounded Bevel, Width: 8, Smoothness: 20, Depth: 5, Ambience: minus 30, Shininess: 4, Color: White, Angle: 30, Intensity: 50, Elevation: 40

Selections/Select None

Step 10:
Go to Image/Add Borders and add a Symmetrical 10 border.

Using your magic wand with Matchmode: RGB Value, Tolerance = 0, Feather = 0, Sample Merge-Unchecked, select your border.

Step 11:
Go to Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same inner bevel as in Step 9. Do not Deselect.

Step 12:
Go to Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the following settings:
Horizontal and Vertical: 4 Opacity: 70 Blur: 20 Color: Black

Reapply the Drop Shadow changing the Horizontal and Vertical to a Minus 4. Selections/Select None.

Step 13:
Toggle your foreground so that it's now your background.
**Hint: click on the arrows that connect these two boxes.
Go to Image/Add Borders and add another Symmetrical 10 border.

Step 14:
Select your border with your magic wand. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and apply the same Inner Bevel, then apply the same drop shadow. Don't forget to do the minus 4. Selections/Select None.

Step 15:
Resize for group requirements. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen.
